For preventive purposes, the authority has extended the leave over the Chinese New Year to the 2nd and 9th of February respectively.
However, many employers recommend their employees, as far as possible to work from home. Our offices in mainland China are expected to be fully staffed as per of the 10th of February at latest. Our Hong Kong office is up and running since yesterday 29th of January and the guarantees normal service and also for mainland offices.
We anticipate a progressive production start in the manufacturing industry that will directly affect airlines and ocean carriers. Furthermore, we noticed that airlines now cancel scheduled departures as there is insufficient number of passengers and cargo.
The carriers have previously announced so called blank voyages due to Chinese New Year and we believe these may be expanded in absence of goods.
