As many of you probably already know we are now facing new conditions in the form of increased costs for fuel, something that all of us will suffer from in some way.
The combination of higher prices on the world market and a higher dollar exchange rate pushes the prices to new record levels with immediate changes at short notice.
Hauliers
The haulage industry has in the last week been fully affected by the increasing price picture and they are now facing serious problems.
Due to the situation, we are now unfortunately forced to reflect the development that prevails by imposing the compensation that the hauliers are now pushing through.
This means that we will adjust the domestic transport cost in entered agreements from 16 March and until further notice as follows:
Domestic transport via Chassis / Sima / LCL: + 13.5%
Domestic transport via rail: + 10.8%
Shipping companies
So far there haven’t been any correction announced linked to the rapidly rising fuel price, which means that the current BAF / LSS still applies.
Airlines
The airlines are of course also affected by the increased costs for fuel. The level of the increased costs varies between different companies and the regulations take place with different date ranges. Preliminary, the fuel surcharge will be adjusted from 1 April.
We monitor the development in the subject and assume that there will be regulations in the near future with short notice.
Feel free to contact us for further information.
Sincerely,
C Land Logistics
