As everyone has probably noticed in the media, we are facing a new covid outbreak in China, this time in Shanghai.
Large parts of the city are currently in lockdown, which is expected to last until friday. The authorities are imposing tightened restrictions to reduce the spread of infection.
According to information, the region will be closed in two phases, the first is the one that is ongoing right now and the second will take place next week.
The effect is again that freedom of movement is limited, which affects the industry in many ways. One of the things that is being affected is the delivery options to/from ports and airports.
Despite the spread of infection, we get indications that some terminals and depots are still open, but with a limited capacity.
We also see that our partners try to find solutions, among other things by moving goods to other ports or airports nearby.
We follow the development further and you are welcome to contact us for further information.
Sincerely,
C Land Logistics
